Lot 191: Studio Pottery Charger, Iron Red Glaze

Description

Hand-thrown studio pottery charger with a deep rust-red glazed surface, accented by three vertical glaze bands in black, celadon-green, and cream running from rim to rim. The reverse shows a wide, unglazed footring with small dark glaze accent marks, along with visible glaze pooling and speckling characteristic of hand-applied studio glazing. The bold, painterly color blocking gives this piece a strong graphic presence, appealing to collectors and buyers seeking statement studio pottery for display or use. No maker's mark is visible. Measures approximately 10.75" diameter x 1.75" H.

Condition:

Good condition overall. Glaze is glossy and intact throughout with expected small pitting/specking from the firing process (see photos). No chips, cracks, or losses noted. Please review photos closely; we do our best to catch all flaws but small imperfections can be missed.
