A charming miniature book titled "Fifty Best Poems of America," part of the well-known Little Leather Library series published in New York in the 1920s. These pocket-sized classics, bound in embossed leatherette covers with gilt-style titling, were produced in enormous numbers as an affordable way to bring literature into American homes, and were famously distributed as a promotional giveaway with boxes of Whitman's Chocolates, making them a fun crossover collectible for both book and advertising ephemera collectors. The spine and rear cover carry the series' distinctive "Little Leather Library" logo stamp. Diminutive and easy to display in a small grouping, this is an accessible entry point for collectors of miniature books or early 20th century American publishing curiosities.

Condition Report:

As-found vintage condition, wear commensurate with age and handling. The cover shows notable wear at the spine and corners, with fraying and material loss along the front hinge edge (see photos). Pages are toned but intact, with a period ink inscription/scribble on the front pastedown. This is a well-used copy rather than a pristine example.
