Description

Authentic antique glass medicine bottle embossed "Johnson's American Anodyne Liniment" on multiple panels, in a soft aqua-tinted glass typical of late 19th to early 20th century American pharmaceutical bottles. Features a cylindrical body with a narrow neck and applied lip finish, standing 4.75 inches tall with a 1.5-inch diameter base and 0.75-inch top opening. Anodyne liniments were popular patent medicines marketed for pain relief in the era before modern regulation, making this a wonderful piece of pharmaceutical and advertising history. The embossed lettering is crisp and legible, and the bottle retains lovely period-correct glass character including natural age wear. A fantastic find for bottle collectors, antique pharmacy enthusiasts, or those decorating with vintage apothecary glass.
