Glazed ceramic dish molded and glazed to resemble a woven wicker basket, in an amber/brown glaze with a fine lattice basket-weave texture and scalloped open sides. Two applied, hand-finished pears with green leaves decorate one corner, adding dimensional trompe l'oeil detail in a contrasting reddish-brown glaze. The underside is marked "Spain" with a small circular maker's stamp bearing a bird motif, confirming Spanish pottery production; this basket-weave-with-fruit style was a popular decorative form among mid-20th-century Spanish and Southern European potteries, often sold as a candy or trinket dish. Measures H: 2.75", W: 7", L: 7.5".
