Pair of glazed ceramic ashtrays modeled as curled-toe slippers, each with a raised loop handle at the toe and a textured, bumpy pinecone/scale surface covering the upper portion, finished in a mottled green glaze that darkens in the crevices. This pinecone-textured majolica style is associated with Italian and Southern European decorative pottery traditions, though no maker's mark is visible on the unglazed base, so a specific origin isn't confirmed.
