Classic mid-century ceramic TV lamp depicting two Siamese cats, one seated tall with an upright curled tail and one reclining with its tail curled in a spiral, both finished in the characteristic Siamese color-point glaze — cream bodies with dark brown-black points on the ears, face, legs, and tail — and set with sparkling green rhinestone eyes. The figural cats sit atop an oval planter/light base with a functioning bulb socket, labeled "Lane & Co., Portable Lamp, Underwriters' Laboratories Listed, Issue No. 68,430." Lane & Co. was a well-known California pottery producer of mid-century TV lamps and figural ceramics. Measures H: 12.5", W: 6", L: 12". An iconic and highly collectible mid-century design.
