A set of four small square plates in Copeland Spode's "Romney" pattern, English earthenware backstamped "Copeland Spode, England, Romney" on the reverse. Each plate has a gadrooned, scalloped edge and is decorated with Romney's signature allover floral bouquet in a soft polychrome palette, centered on a large rose with sprays of daisies and mixed blossoms extending across the well. This smaller square format is well suited to bread and butter service or dessert course, rounding out a Romney pattern table setting.

Condition Report:

Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age. No visible chips or cracks. Light surface scratching consistent with normal use throughout the set.
