Description

Hand-painted porcelain ashtray with a wide rim divided into panels — landscape/pagoda scenes alternating with a red diamond-lattice ground and floral roundels — in the Imari palette of iron red, cobalt blue, green, and gilt accents. Three cigar rests molded into the center well. Base bears the red seal mark "明陶" (Meitō), attributed to a mid-20th-century Arita/Saga region kiln known for export porcelain.
