Description

Set of three footed porcelain teacups with matching reticulated saucers, hand-painted in underglaze blue with a whimsical figural motif (a child-like Daruma or boy figure within a roundel) repeated on each cup and saucer. Saucers pierced with an alternating diamond-and-triangle lattice border and an etched fan/pinwheel pattern radiating from the center medallion. Base of each saucer bears a small impressed mark.
